GLORIA FASHION SHOW 2016

Hi! I had an amazing opportunity to work at Gloria Fashion Show 2016 in Helsinki this past weekend. And the best part of it was to do it with my friend Julija! <3

My job was to help my beautiful model Masha to change clothes between her walks on the runway. It was my responsibility to make sure she had the right outfit on with the right accessories. Therefore I was able to see what really happens backstage at a fashion show.

My model Masha was really nice and lively. She didn't speak Finnish because she is from Russia so we spoke English. She told me that she has enjoyed Finland and its lovely people. Many of the models were foreigners but there was also a few Finns.

The clothes were to die for! <3 It was really fantastic to be surrounded with fashion and clothes and everybody was so nice! But I felt really short (I'm only 157cm tall) being with really tall and slim models with extremely high heels. Sometimes it was a great challenge to try to reach my models neck to open a zipper or to put on a necklace! :D

We also got a goodie bag with some wonderful things in it! A lot of useful make-up and hair-care products.

It was an amazing experience and I hope I have the chance to do it again next year!

LÖYLY

Today has been very exhausting! I'm currently sitting at home on my sofa after a long but fun day in Helsinki with my mother. We wanted to spend a mother & daughter day together and what is a better place for that than beautiful Helsinki. :)

We decided to visit this amazing new place in Hernesaari called Löyly. It's a public sauna and there is also a restaurant attached to the building. We ate lunch and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere there. Unfortunately the sun wasn't shining so we didn't eat outside but it was still a very beautiful place and if you visit Helsinki I truly recommend checking out Löyly! ;)

After lunch we did some shopping in the centre of Helsinki! Even the sun appeared later in the afternoon! :D

SPRING IS FINALLY HERE

I can not believe that over a week ago it was still snowing. Thank GOD that is not the case anymore! It's easy to go out and have a lough with your friends when it's 20 degrees celsius and the sun is shining.

I spent two days in Turku during my little mini holiday. 

My friends and I just satt along the Aura river and enjoyed the good company of each other and the great weather. I also got to meet Sabrina who came to Finland all the way from Austria! It has been a year since I last saw her! It was the best thing ever to hug her!

Now I am at my cottage with my family and we are preparing our Mother's day lunch. Today we are celebrating all the mothers around the world! So lets celebrate! :) <3

RENNES

And now the French students are here in Finland. Late last night we went to pick my French girl from the airport to my house. We were both really tired and we went straight to bed! Today is their first day in Finland and I hope the will enjoy their time here.

BEAUTIFUL ST. MALO

After a long but a fun week in Rennes, France, I am back in Finland. It was a one-week-long school trip and we travelled together with 15 students including Julija and me from my school and two teachers. It was my first time in France and I can say that I fell in love with the culture, the people and the food of course. I met some great new people who I can now call my friends. I can't wait to see everybody again when they come to Finland in three weeks time.

Here you have some pictures from our first day in France. Most of our families took us to Saint Malo for the day. The view was beautiful and the weather was really nice. Just a little bit warmer than in Finland! :D In St. Malo we ate at a really cosy restaurant and then just wondered around the beautiful lanes  and the beach of St. Malo.

These photos are from two final days of school before my winter holiday started. We celebrated "penkkarit" at school on Thursday and "Wanhat" on Friday. Penkkarit is a celebration for the oldest students in our school. As they leave the school to prepare for the final exams, they dress up in funny costumes and drive around the city in trucks throwing candy at people.
Wanhat is a ball for the 2nd graders in high school. They dress up and dance for the whole school as they become the oldest students of the school.

At the moment I'm sitting on the sofa after cross-country skiing 16,2 kilometers with Julija in Ylläs, Lapland. I'm having the best time here with the best people. I've never seen this much snow here and it hasn't stopped snowing so the weather has been a bit cloudy throughout the week. But that hasn't brought us down! Good food, winter sports, Finnish nature, movies and good company... I couldn't ask for anything else!

Moikka! Kyseiset kuvat on parilta viimeiseltä päivältä ennen hiihtoloman alkua. Koulussa vietettiin penkkareita torstaina ja katseltiin komeita frakkipukuisia miehiä ja kauniita naisia wanhojen tanssien merkeissä perjantaina. Oli kyllä kiva katsoa, kun oppilaat tanssi ja puvut olivat ihania! Kävin myös myöhemmin illalla katsomassa Salon lukion wanhojen tansseja ja sielläkin oli ihanaa pukuloistoa!

Parhaillani istun sohvalla täällä Ylläksellä Lapissa! Tulimme juuri Julijan kanssa 16,2 kilometrin hiihtolenkin jälkeen mökille ja nyt suuntana on sauna! :) Lumikinokset ovat parhaimmillaan yli 2 metriä ja lunta on tullut jatkuvasti lisää, minkä takia sää on ollut hieman pilvinen ja sumppurainen laskettelua varten. Ohjelmaa on kuitenkin ollut! Hyvä ruoka, urheilua, suomalainen luonto, elokuvia ja hyvä seura! Ei loma tästä enää paremmaksi tule! :)
